Qui vol ser dissenyador de pinces d’estendre roba? Això seria ocupar-se d’un problema que fa temps que està resolt i tancat, un assumpte al qual no cal donar més voltes. Però, i si prengués sentit tornar sobre allò quotidià i repensar el que donem per fet? Convivim amb una gran quantitat d’objectes que funcionen tan bé que s’han tornat invisibles per nosaltres. Què passaria si de sobte la regadora no volgués regar? De cop ens hauríem de preocupar per una cosa que sempre ens ha funcionat, a la que no li prestàvem atenció, i de sobte es convertiria en un problema. El més comú es torna excepcional.

Aquest projecte proposa una aproximació als objectes quotidians, els oblidats dins la llar. Ho fa a la cruïlla entre dos imaginaris: el de la llar, i un parèntesi de ficció on aquests objectes s’alliberen de la constricció de la seva estricta funcionalitat. Escoltant-los i atribuint-los una actitud lúdica, bromista i poc cooperativa, m’he proposat tensar el vincle entre la seva forma i la seva funció. Això m’ha permès reinterpretar les seves formes i obtenir, amb lacol·laboració de diferents artesans, una sèrie d’objectes mutants que fan de la seva disfuncionalitat una modalitat de dissidència, i una invitació a tornar a mirar veritablement allò que ens envolta.

¿Quién quiere ser diseñador de pinzas de tender la ropa? Esto sería ocuparse de un problema que hace tiempo que está resuelto y cerrado, un asunto al cual no hay que darle más vueltas. ¿Pero, y si tomara sentido volver sobre aquello cotidiano y repensar lo que damos por hecho? Convivimos con una gran cantidad de objetos que funcionan tan bien que se han vuelto invisibles para nosotros. ¿Qué pasaría si de repente la regadera no quisiera regar? De golpe nos tendríamos que preocupar por una cosa que siempre nos ha funcionado, a la que no prestábamos atención, y de repente, se convertiría en un problema. Lo más común se vuelve excepcional.

Este proyecto propone una aproximación a los objetos cotidianos, los olvidados dentro del hogar. Sucede en el cruce entre dos imaginarios: el del propio hogar, y en el de un paréntesis de ficción donde estos objetos se liberan de la constricción de su estricta funcionalidad. Escuchándolos y atribuyéndoles una actitud lúdica, bromista y poco cooperativa, me he propuesto tensar el vínculo entre su forma y su función. Esto me ha permitido reinterpretar sus formas y obtener, con la colaboración de diferentes artesanos, una serie de objetos mutantes que hacen de su disfuncionalidad una modalidad de disidencia, y una invitación a volver a mirar verdaderamente aquello que nos rodea.

Who wants to be a designer of clothing tweezers? That would be dealing with a matter that has long been sorted out, an issue that needs no further consideration. However, what if it made sense to go back to the everyday and rethink what we take for granted? We inhabit with many objects that function so well that they have become invisible within our surroundings. What if all of a sudden the watering can did not want to water? Suddenly we would have to be concerned about something that has always worked for us, something we didn’t pay attention to but would now have become a problem.Turning the most common into the exceptional.

This project proposes an approach to everyday objects, those forgotten in our homes. The approach occurs at the crossroad between two imaginaries: the one related to the household and a fictional parenthesis where these objects are freed from the constriction of their strict functionality. Listening to them and attributing them a playful, humorous and uncooperative attitude, the project sets out to tighten the link between their form and their function. This has allowed to reinterpret their form and obtain, with the collaboration of different artisans, a series of mutant objects that make of their dysfunction a form of dissent and an invitation to truly look back at what surrounds us.
